The Paint Correction Process

Wash and Decontamination

The car gets a full hand wash followed by iron fallout remover and tar treatment. This strips everything off the paint surface that does not belong there, so the polishing stages are working on bare, clean clear coat only.

A single stage correction on a standard sedan typically takes four to six hours. A two-stage correction runs six to eight hours. Multi-stage work on larger vehicles or heavily damaged paint can take a full day or more. You will get a time estimate with your quote.
The correction itself is permanent. The defects removed do not come back on their own. How long the paint stays looking that good depends on how it is maintained and whether a protective coating is applied on top. A ceramic coating over corrected paint can protect the finish for two to five years with proper care.
